Ali Altahir M.D.
A child and adolescent psychiatrist, conducts full psychiatric evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Altahir is experienced in the treatment of a variety of clinical concerns, including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), intellectual disabilities, Autism spectrum disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, and psychosis. After adult psychiatry training in Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Altahir completed his fellowship studies at Penn State University in 2005. Certified by the American board of Psychiatry and Neurology for both general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry
Chris van Eyck, PA
A certified Physician Assistant with over 12 years of experience working in Adult and Pediatric Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery. He is a graduate of Cornell Physician Assistant Program, and has worked at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Miami Children’s Hospital, Suburban Hospital, and Inova Fairfax Hospital. Working with a wide range of patients, Chris has always had a special interest in postoperative depression, and enjoys working with children and adults in all phases of behavioral health. Chris is married to his wife Kim, a colorectal surgeon, and spends his free time playing guitar, and raising his two daughters.
Lauren Williams, PA-C
Lauren Williams received a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at James Madison University in 2018 and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at James Madison University in 2015. Lauren previously worked in an acute care setting as an NCCPA certified Physician Assistant in Virginia. In her free time, Lauren enjoys traveling, reading, gardening, and spending time with her family, friends, and her cat.
Elaine Waterman, PA-C
Elaine Waterman is a certified Physician Assistant with a background in Clinical Nutrition. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in nutrition and psychology at Virginia Tech and worked for several years as a Registered Dietitian. She completed her Master of Science degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2020. She is excited to be providing patient-centered care back in her hometown of Falls Church, VA. During her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Victoria Awadalla, PA-C
Victoria Awadalla received a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences-Boston in 2021 and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from George Mason University. Prior to PA school, she worked at a physical rehabilitation hospital and volunteered as an EMT. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog as well as reading and traveling.
Joy Butler, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, CWCN
Joy Butler has a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Simmons University. Along with having over ten years of experience in providing care services for adults from all walks of life, Joy has a special place in her heart for working with children and adolescents who have an assortment of special needs. As a Nurse Practitioner, she is double board-certified in Psychiatry/Mental Health and in Family Care. Additionally, Joy is a Certified Wound Care Nurse. Having a passion to assist others in need, Joy has served in the Peace Corps as a health volunteer and as a registered nurse in a free clinic. Joy enjoys traveling, the arts, unique dining experiences, and spending time with her family.
Sarah P. Kenworthy MEd, MPAS, PA-C
Sarah Kenworthy is a Falls Church native who joined our team in May of 2022. Sarah is a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA) with over 10 years of experience working in the health and wellness industry. Sarah completed a Master’s degree in Exercise physiology from the University of Virginia in 2013, earned her Master’s degree in Physician assistant studies at Shenandoah University in December 2021, and plans to pursue a doctorate in the near future. Sarah became a PA she could empower her patients’ on their journey to optimal health and fiercely advocate for a healthy mind and body. She enjoys connecting with people and believes every person should feel seen and be heard. In her spare time Sarah stays active and enjoys spending time with her friends, family and Great Dane, Minnie.
